Cross-cultural coaching
As the world becomes smaller and organisations reach ever more global, more and more people are being asked or are actively seeking opportunities to experience work in another culture and country.
Culture shock is a known and proven phenomenon which can have a profoundly negative effect on performance. Approaching organisational problems from the perspective of our “world” view and cultural basis is the cause of many misunderstandings and difficulties in cross cultural working.
Cross cultural coaching works by guiding people to a deeper acknowledgement and understanding of cultural bias and preconceptions, thus increasing awareness and appreciation of different “world” views and the implications of these for managing and motivating people at work.
