Executive coaching

Executive coaching can be appropriate in many but by no means all professional
situations. Some typical examples are:

  • A newly promoted manager is encountering some difficulties in the new role
  • An already identified talented individual is being prepared for a senior role and needs to gain insight and understanding to facilitate this
  • Relationship issues are affecting performance
  • An organisation seeks to align managerial behaviour around a set of core values, and some management need coaching to adapt
  • Executives needing to lead major change programmes will often benefit from a coach to accompany them through the difficult stages of launching and building momentum
  • Acknowledged technical experts find themselves with responsibilities for people or even business management for the first time
  • Organisational and/or national cultural differences need to be understood and overcome to ensure effectiveness

In all cases, goals will be agreed as well as a review period and timeframe.
